________________

The Nonprofit Technology Summit is all new this year!

Nonprofit leaders will explore how to leverage technology to increase their staff bandwidth and scale their mission’s impact in our communities.

The Summit is more than a great learning experience. We’ve assembled some of the best technologists in the Bay Area to volunteer for the event and provide custom technology assessments for attending nonprofits. You will also have opportunities to share with, and learn from, your nonprofit peers.

Unlike most conferences, this event will feature hands-on consultations from technology experts that will help resolve your technology challenges. You will walk away with a roadmap for how to best leverage technology to achieve the most pressing goals at your organization.

Although the broader BADCamp conference is specifically about website development, the Nonprofit Technology Conference will focus on all kinds of technology, not just websites.

REGISTRATION FOR NONPROFIT ATTENDEES IS NOW CLOSED.
If you would like to volunteer at this event, please contact the lead Summit organizer, Valerie Neumark from Rootid at valerie@rootid.com.

The Summit will include discussion on a host of topics:

  • Data security and management
  • Back-office systems
  • Collection, management and analysis of data to inform business and marketing decisions
  • Marketing automation and digital marketing technologies
  • All website Content Management Systems (CMS’s) - not just Drupal!
  • Integration of technologies to increase efficiency
  • Email and social media tools
  • Project management tools
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Much, much more!

During this full-day event attendees can expect to:

  1. Receive a custom technology assessment
  2. Learn new ways to apply technology at your organization to scale your mission impact, and reduce stress on overworked staff members
  3. Share and learn technology use cases, successes and challenges with nonprofit peers
  4. Engage in small group conversations about your technology challenges and triumphs
  5. Expand your professional network and build lasting peer working relationships
  6. Leave the summit with a clear plan of action for your technology needs
  7. NOT be bombarded by vendor sales pitches

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the event?
It’s all day (9am - 4:30pm)

What if I can’t attend the full-day?
Though we would love for everyone to attend the full day, we understand that not everyone can take an entire day off of work.  Because we have limited spaces available, we ask that you try to make the full day commitment, but there are no requirements.

How much does this cost?
Zilch. Zero. Nada. It’s completely free thanks to the amazing support from BADCamp sponsors and the generous time spent by volunteers.

What types of nonprofits should attend?
All nonprofits should attend! Whether you’re a multi-million dollar organization, or just getting started everyone has technology needs and questions. There is a topic and a forum for all types of organizations to attend the event and our technologists are eager to help!

I'm a vendor. Can I register?
This event is focused on nonprofits and helping them to resolve their challenges. If you're coming to the event to pitch new business, this is not for you. If you're coming to volunteer, great! Reach out and let us know you're interested. If we are still looking for volunteer technologists, we can add you to the list. We will establish a waitlist for volunteers once we fill up.

How many people from my team can I bring?
Bring as many as you want! But, we also ask that those who come are committed to being open and active participants. Because we have limited seats available, we want to be sure that we have room for as many nonprofits to attend as possible.

Will lunch be provided?
No. Normally attendees are responsible for bringing or going out for their own lunch. However, sometimes we have a last minute generous sponsor that will buy everyone lunch. If that happens, we will do our best to account for dietary restrictions. But, we ask that you plan to provide your own food.

How amazing is this event?
Very!
