Unit tests, QA plans, behat, visual regression testing. Do any of these sound familiar to you? If you have experience with Quality Assurance, or QA, you might already recognize them. But even if they’re not, or you are completely unfamiliar with QA, you might have encountered them elsewhere and wondered what they mean. Or perhaps you’re hearing them now for the first time?
In the rush to automate all the things, people often attempt to shoehorn QA into their automated processes without understanding what it is, why we need it in our projects, and what its ultimate goal should be.
In this session we’re getting back to the basics and figuring out what QA is, and how it should be utilized for your project, before we even begin to think about how to automate it. We'll also explore what the buzzwords mean, and how to incorporate quality assurance audits into your projects.
This session will cover:
- What Quality Assurance is.
- What the buzzwords mean.
- How to incorporate quality assurance into your project.
This talk assumes no prior knowledge of Quality Assurance so all are welcome. This is not Drupal specific and can be applied to all projects regardless of CMS. We will cover the core principles and practices of QA, and how you can use them to make your project easier, faster, and better than ever.
